Hydrogels loaded with atenolol drug metal–organic framework showing biological activity

Abstract Using the starting reactants of Zn(OAc) 2 and 2-mercaptonicotinic acid (H L), we successfully synthesized a fresh Zn( ii ) compound, that is, [Zn 3 (L) ] n (1), under hydrothermal conditions then loaded with atenolol. Hualuronic acid/carboxymethyl chitosan hydrogels atenolol drug metal–organic framework were prepared based on chemical synthesis method. The microscopic morphology was investigated, scanning electron results showed had highly porous good penetration between pores. For new hydrogels, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detection conducted, production sVCAM-1 TNF-a in vascular endothelial cells determined. Besides, levels inflammatory response also determined real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction assay.
